How do I distinguish if glasses are polarized?

Most brands already incorporate some sort of marking on the lens indicating that these lenses are polarised.
It can be a simple P as in the case of polar RAY BAN.

Or written directly on the lens of the word POLARIZED as in the case of OAKLEY.
This varies depending on the manufacturer.

Polarised glasses

Do you often look for polarised glasses because you've heard about them?... continue reading

Polarised glasses contain a filter that prevents certain reflections and improves visual comfort.

The sunlight we receive vibrates in all directions, however, when it bounces off a horizontal surface, the light is partially polarised and reflects or dazzles.
The polarised filter acts in such a way that it lets through the light hitting the eye only vertically, thus eliminating reflections.
That's why they are especially useful in the sea where there is a maximum reflection of the sun, also on the road, in the desert, in the snow...where the same thing happens.

So, polarised glasses are those that contain that special filter that helps you to eliminate reflections and decrease the feeling of glare, after that you get a better visual performance when you are exposed to very bright outdoor surfaces.

We can find polarized glasses with dark lenses in different tones, GREY, BROWN, VESDE, and there are also those with mirrored lenses in different colours. In our day to day we see how many of you confuse the mirror effect with the polarized effect, and that's why we want to tell you about it today.
